How to record your Skype conversation with IMCapture

IMCapture has released version 2.4.1 of its audio and video call recording app for Skype. IMCapture for Skype lets you record any of your Skype conversations and save them for later perusal. The app supports a host of file formats and allows you to tweak the bit rate of your recordings to strike a balance between file size and quality.
In going from version 2.3.x to 2.4.0, the company overhauled the user interface of the application to make it cleaner and easier to use, added the ability to set up the recording of a conversation before it begins and improved the overall performance. The latest version adds compatibility with Skype 5.2, the most current version of the VoIP application for Mac OS X.
IMCapture for Skype can record audio calls as MP3, WMA, or AAC files and video conferences in the MOV, MPEG4, MPEG, VOB, PSP MPEG4, SWF and FLV formats. It also bundles in a media converter to enable you to convert your recorded conversations between any of its supported formats. IMCapture supports the recording of all calls made through Skype, including Skype-to-Skype conversations and SkypeOut telephone calls.
IMCapture for Skype is available for $50 from the company's website for both Mac OS X and Windows, a free trial version is also available for download.
